TLD.NAME
realizes that TLDs are the means by which Registrars provide their customers with short and easy to remember domain names. Domain names are
the means by which businesses, consumers, and individuals gain access to, navigate,
and get the benefits of the global Internet.
These benefits cannot be fully realized, however, unless DNS
resources are administered in a
fair, efficient, and neutral manner that makes them available
to all parties desiring to
provide DNS services.
That
is why all public Internet bodies, including the INAIC, will never, directly or indirectly, show any
preference or provide any
special consideration to any Internet
Service Provider (ISP) or Registrar.
All
Internet Service Providers shall have equal access to the
Public-Root Servers operated by
the Public-Root Root
Server Operators (RSOs). Also all Registrars should have
an equal chance to own a TLD.
To become a Registrar and to get an approval to register a new TLD has become far
more easy now. The INAIC enshures us that the whole approval process should not
take any longer than a few
weeks.
The INAIC Council will only consider requests for new TLDs
when they are requested through the TLD Request page. The INAIC Council shall not refuse to accept your TLD Request,
except for TLDs that might cause conflicts in the future.
